Purdey are inviting entries for their 2011 awards, don't miss your chance

Celebrating the connection between game shooting and conservation, the Purdey Awards rewards individuals, syndicates, estates, shoots and clubs within the UK whose sporting land management is giving conservation results. It "aims to encourage entries from outstanding and imaginative shoot conservation projects designed to improve habitats for Wild and/or reared game birds, and which can demonstrate over time, the entrant's work has also benefited other species of wildlife, and enhanced the biodiversity of the shoot and surrounding land."

Richard Purdey has managed the awards since 1999 and urges you to enter "Entering is not difficult, and doing so is always useful as a self audit of progress on your shoot and conservation work - so it's never time wasted."

There is an annual prize fund of £10,000 to be shared between Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards as well as Special Awards for outstanding examples of indivitual effortand dedication.
