The Mall Galleries hosts a particularly fine exhibition this
year, celebrating wildlife art from around the world. The overall winner has
been short-listed twice before but this year David Filer’s entry ‘Forever and
Ever Amen’ (pictured right) carried all before it. David Shepherd CBE described the piece as having “such depth and life that the judges had little difficulty in selecting
it as the overall winner”. Filer recieved a cheque for £10,000 from David Shepherd and zoologist Mark Cawardine.

The exhibition continues until 4pm Saturday 11th
June and the pieces are selling fast as people take advantage of a great
opportunity to buy emerging and established artists work but it is also well
worth a visit as a viewing exhibition.

As well as the finest competition entries there is the chance to
see three generations of the Shepherd families work, David Shepherd, Mandy
Shepherd and Emily Lamb are exhibiting alongside other guest artists including
Robert Glen and Sally Gresham. It is a perfect way to celebrate Shepherd’s 80th birthday and, importantly, raise money for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. A percentage of all sales will be donated to the foundation and help to prevent more species being lost.
