The Throckmorton Literary Festival will take place at Coughton Court from 18 – 20 September, 2009.

Coughton Court is a sumptuous Tudor house set in 25 acres of garden in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, and has been home to the Throckmorton family for 600 years.

From the court of Henry VIII to the Gunpowder Plot the house has played witness to some pivotal moments of history.

It is apt that some of our best known writers have chosen this setting to talk about their work. Historians and biographers will rub shoulders with crime-writers and novellists, including David Starkey, Stella Rimmington (the former head of MI5) and Kate Adie.
