As London Fashion Week beat a retreat on Friday style met substance at the Dorchester, Park Lane. Members of the Household Cavalry mingled with captains of industy and famous fashionistas while raising £250,000 for Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund and the British Forces Foundation.

Bidding was brisk for auction lots including an Aston Martin Cygnet (which Sir Philip Green had his eye on), wing walking and a bronze of Sefton, the cavalry black who survived an IRA bomb inHyde Park.

The spectacular catwalk show had chaps craining their necks in tight collars. All the models were sporting ‘Brave‘ nails, the new colour from Maison Danu which matches the regiment’s red dress tunic. The nail polish is available on-line and 50% of profits will be donated to the army charities.
