Loyton Lodge helps novice guns feel at home in the shooting field with their 'How to' game shooting course
Near Tiverton in Devon, Loyton Lodge has embraced the West Country's renoun as a shooting destination. Having converted the dairy farm to what owners Sally and Alick Barnes call a 'sophisticated rural retreat', they now run day courses on shooting etiquette.
As well as clay pigeon shooting lessons guests can receive intruction on all aspects of a day shooting from dress to tipping, marking birds to double gunning. You will finish the day with a game preperation and cookery class and a cream tea.
The shooting course, with dinner bed and breakfast costs £360 based on a group of 10. Partners non shooting are welcome at a discount.
