If you live in Dorset this course is just the thing get you to brush up on shooting safety
Dorset Police will be holding a shotgun safety course on Saturday 21st February 2009 at Winfrith Technology Centre, near Dorchester.
It is aimed at shotgun licence holders and those considering applying for a shotgun licence who want to know more about the safety aspects of shooting.
The course will increase awareness and confidence of shotgun licence holders and covers certificate procedures, gun and shooting safety tip, carriage of gun and the legislation in place for licence holders.
Previous courses have received great reviews from shooting enthusiasts who have taken them.
Firearms Licensing Manager Julie Welch, said:
"The course was introduced to provide responsible licence holders, and those considering applying for a licence, with a fantastic opportunity to receive instruction from our expert officers about safety and legislation."
The shooting safety course lasts four hours and costs £25.
